After treading water for years thrash-formation Objector is finally back on track. Since 2007 they’ve aimed for wreaking havoc with their music, but unfortunately haven’t been able to do so until now. From day one Objector had been struggling with finding a suitable and capable drummer, which almost made it impossible to play live or record. 2013 was marked by the difficult decision of parting with their previous drummer and replacing him with artificially intelligent software. A couple of months later this resulted in the completely independently released 7-track demo/EP ‘Stand Your Ground’, a representation of the old songs like they’ve always been envisioned. It didn’t take long before the music got noticed and attracted the drummer they’ve always been praying for.
This new formation of damnation, consisting of Bock (guitar/vocals), Didier (guitar), Tim (bass) and Jef (drums), strives to take the band to the next level. Musically Objector can be best described as no-nonsense metal with a healthy dose of thrash. Influenced by the far corners of heavy music going from Judas Priest, Black Sabbath to Overkill, Annihilator, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, to Carcass, Venom, Gorefest and Morbid Angel. Objector makes no compromises and voices their disbelief in modern society, war, social injustice and prophesises the end of life as we know it.
In this new chapter Objector aims to acquire more live experience, meet new people, bring their music to the masses and work on new bone crushing material.
